ROCKFISH
Rockfish, which include the genus Sebastes (from the Greek for "venerable") are one of the major families of fish you will find in the Pacific Northwest. They are varied in size and appearance; some live for only a few years - and some live for more than 100 years. All rockfish are live bearers. Most have been severely over fished. To see big schools of rockfish, one often must travel pretty far North in British Columbia, where the fisheries were shut down for rockfish years ago. They are one of my favorite subjects to shoot and portray.
